The Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) is an international foundation whose mission is to assist the international community in pursuing good governance and reform of the security sector.

The foundation, which currently comprises 63 member states, works on strengthening capacities of parliaments and governments to deal with security issues. It operates globally with particular emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Southeast Asia. Its thematic coverage includes defense reforms, gender and security, intelligence governance, justice sector reforms, parliamentary oversight of the security sector, private security governance and public-private partnerships and security governance.

DCAF now increasingly focuses on cybersecurity-related issues.
