The School of Computer and Communication Science (IC) of the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) will host its Research Day on 6 June 2019. This year’s topic focuses on 'Digital Trust' and addresses the challenges of re-inventing mechanisms of trust in the digital age.

The event will be featured by the participation of world-leading experts and EPFL researchers who will discuss their work towards the achievement of better digital trust for new forms of interactions and business opportunities.

The event will be co-chaired by Prof. Bryan Alexander Ford and Prof. Jean-Pierre Hubaux and will feature the following presentations:

  • Adventures in Electronic Voting Research
  • When foes are friends: Adversarial examples as protective technologies
  • Security Testing Hard to Reach Code
  • Flash Boys 2.0: Frontrunning, Transaction Reordering, and Consensus Instability in Decentralised Exchanges
