All concerned stakeholders are invited to partake in this expert consultation, which will be a platform for deliberation about the roles of standard-setting organisations in upholding human rights. In particular, the consultation will seek to articulate measures that standard-setting organisations, states, businesses, civil society organisations, and others to render human rights considerations an integral part of the standard-setting processes.
The outcomes of this consultation will become a thematic report by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and will be presented at the 53rd regular session of the Human Rights Council.
