Event description
Event dates: 10–12 May 2023
The main objective of this intergovernmental group of experts is to enhance the efforts of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in the fields of information and communications technologies, e-commerce, and the digital economy, to empower developing nations to participate in and gain advantages from the ever-changing digital economy.
Additionally, the group works to bridge the digital divide and promote the development of inclusive knowledge societies. The sixth session will focus on two main agenda items: How to make data work for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Working Group on Measuring E-commerce and the Digital Economy.
