The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organises World Radiocommunication Seminars (WRS) on a biennial basis, in complement to the cycle of Regional Radiocommunication Seminars (RRS). The WRS deal with the use of the radio.
The 2022 World Radiocommunication Seminars (WRS-22) will focus on issues related to the use of the radiofrequency spectrum and satellite orbits, especially in regard to the application of the ITU Radio Regulations provisions.
The first part of WRS-22, the Plenary Session, which is open to all, will take place on 24 October 2022 and will cover general radiocommunication-related matters, applications of ITU Radio Regulations, and trends in various radiocommunication services. There will also be an introduction to the works of the ITU-R Study Groups, the Radio Regulations Board, the Radiocommunication Assembly (RA), and the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC). The second part of WRS-22, the Terrestrial and Space Workshops, which will take place from 25 to 28 October, are restricted to ITU member states and academia, as well as the ITU-R Sector members and associates.
