On 5 March, the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA) and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) will launch the Open Quantum Institute (OQI) with the support of the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS). The OQI is a three-year CERN-based programme that aims to accelerate quantum computing applications in a few SDG-related use cases, such as health, energy, climate action, clean water, and food security. The launch event also calls for potential collaborators who wish to engage in OQI’s pilot phase.
